Small consulting group with niche in DB administration looking to add a Benefit Analyst to their staff. The Benefit Analyst works in a team environment performing tasks involved with servicing qualified and non-qualified defined benefit pension plans. This individual uses proprietary software as well as MS Office and relational database tools in the day to day job. This individual also provides customer service support directly with participants. Analyst will maintain effective relationships with clients. Prepare and approve benefit calculations including both automated and manual calculations. Research and verify participant level data. Prepare and approve participant correspondence. Prepare and approve pension payments. Interpret plan rules to ensure compliance with plan documentation and SPDs. Perform system Quality Assurance Testing on software enhancements and new client implementation. Take an active role in pursuing continued education in the area of defined benefit administration. Ideal candidates will have a minimum 4 years of experience administering defined benefit pension plans. QPA designation under ASPPA (or progress toward designation) preferred. Experience with relational databases (Sybase experience preferred). Customer service and client management experience preferred.
