Consulting client has an opening for a Health & Welfare Actuary with a minimum of eight years of Group Benefits consulting experience with particular emphasis on health care. Duties include: Consulting services to a select group of clients, Leading benefit strategy and plan design consulting projects, Managing large client projects, Interacting with clients on a daily basis and making in-person presentations, Participating in practice leadership strategy and management/development of staff, Financial management of client relationships, Developing new business in collaboration with other consultants. Ideal candidates will have an ASA or FSA designation. Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of the health care marketplace including plan design, pricing, benchmarking, financial management/analysis including experience projections and administration. Knowledge of post-retirement medical benefits valuations (FAS 106) including both projection and underwriting aspects. General knowledge of life and disability plans. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work in and lead project teams. Experience leading client relationships.
