Consulting client looking for talented Retirement Actuarial Consultant to add to their staff. Duties to include: Manages routine projects, with modest to significant oversight from a more experienced consultant. Serves as key member of team for large targeted clients, strong second on large annuity clients, or day-to-day lead on smaller clients. Calculates contributions necessary to fund defined benefit pension plans. Calculates annual accounting expenses necessary for post retirement and termination benefits. Prepares meeting materials and has role in most meetings. Can work collaboratively with consultants from other lines of business. Project manages less experienced team members on valuations or other complex/longer term projects and insures quality by reviewing work product and applying technical expertise (through researching, understanding, and interpretation)Manages all aspects of actuarial valuations. With direct assistance from more experienced consultant, assists with plan design strategy, mergers/spinoffs/acquisition strategies, negotiations, accounting, window design/strategy etc. Possesses deep understanding of regulatory and legislative rules. Uses Retirement and Financial Management (RFM) delivery models, tools and resources. Understands plan documentation and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related work experience and ideally be at least an ASA/EA with FSA preferred.
