Valuation VA Actuary, ASA-7670
Insurance company in the southwest US region has need for a Variable Annuity Valuation Actuary. The incumbent is responsible for performing statistical analysis, actuarial research, modeling, and calculations, developing, extending, and maintaining actuarial models, preparing reports for management, external disclosure, and regulatory filings, determining methods and approach on new assignments, preparing and presenting actuarial calculations related to product pricing, valuation, or risk management and possibly train/mentor others with less experience. The individual will also be responsible for the variable annuity valuation including new product reserving, valuation requirements and capital projections. This role will also involve designing, building, validating and documenting VA valuation models in the AXIS tool. Candidates should have solid VA experience ideally within a modeling capacity. Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts and analysis to a variety of audiences. Experience with actuarial modeling software such as MG ALFA or GGY AXIS is required.
