Client looking for actuary to provide actuarial management information necessary to keep the corporation financially sound. Identify and analyze internal and external factors which affect statistics for use in forecasting, trending, and rate models, etc. Design specific actuarial studies and research projects as requested. Perform actuarial research, experience studies, statistical analyses. Develop, calculates and analyzes rates, reserves, provider contract terms, etc. Develop and maintains documentation. Provides data to external agencies (auditors, DOI, DMHC) as needed. Develop actuarial assumptions. Prepare departmental profitability reports. Prepare schedules, document factors. May assist in training of others. Ideal candidate will have passed at least 3 or more SOA exams. Two years applicable work experience in an HMO/health care environment preferred.
