Client looking for Chief Actuary on the Health Practice side. Ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in a benefits consulting firm environment, outsourcing firm, broker and/or health insurance carrier. Would ideally like to see at least 5 years of experience withing a consulting firm working with Fortune 500 companies. FSA designation required to be considered. As Chief Actuary, will be responsible for helping to set the strategic direction of the H&W practice, including developing firm's Point of View on the financial aspects of the health care marketplace and the strategic implications for clients. Will have ownership of H&W modeling tools and the annual actuarial assumptions setting process. Additionally, will consultant with clients on large and complex strategies to align health and welfare benefit programs with business objectives and goals. This includes facilitation of strategy discussions with clients to understand their business as well as developing solutions to meet those needs. Must have broad and deep experience within Health and Welfare industry. Have an expertise in prescription, clinical/provider solutions and/or retiree medical. Have a solid understanding of the complex business issues and challenges facing clients as well as a demonstrated ability to help solve those challenges. Strong leader with an ability to coach and develop associates. Will help lead development of new tools, analytics and service models to bring to market. Act as sounding board and technical mentor to other actuaries in the practice. Collaborate with Retirement Chief Actuary on how best to assess the confluence of health and wealth. Perform advanced financial and actuarial consulting including utilization trends, plan performance, claims and enrollment data and performance metrics. Consult with clients across health and welfare and employee/retiree educational issues while anticipating future client needs. Serve as a lead or supporting Health and Welfare expert in client meetings.
